Character is developed over time. Decisions define us more than anything, and over time, define our character. Actions telegraph our character. Decades of character development can be undone in the briefest of moments. The ultimate highs and lows we all experience give us the prime moments to decide who we want to be. Without those ecstatic and debilitating moments, we would not have to make difficult decisions and our growth would be stunted. All growth requires some form of pain or sacrifice.
